Upgrade coming soon to fix Calendar crash problem

An update has been sent to Apple to resolve a problem where the calendar feature crashes on iphones which have regional settings which are non-English. The problem was reported by two Spanish speaking users and has now been resolved.

Version 1.05 will be available in about a week and also includes some Facebook improvements and an updated Rome travelogue.

Also please note that the app has been fully tested on the new iphone 4S.

New Feature now available – Guests & Tables

I’m Getting Married version 1.03 has been released and includes a great new feature to manage your wedding guests by table (or not if you just want guests). The new feature includes contacts integration so you can choose guests from your exiting contacts. There’s a dietary choice option to record special requirements be it Vegan or a nut allergy. Record if guests have confirmed their attendance. Export to Excel & Numbers via email. This upgrade will of course be available for free for all people who purchase the app before the release of the guests feature.

I’m Getting Married is on the iTunes App Store

update; the App is complete and has been approved for sale by Apple.
If you would like to buy the app please click on the BUY option at the top of the screen.
The app is priced at $1.99

———————————————————————————————————————

Due to feedback from testers the App (which was as good as finished in mid July) has been extended to include a Facebook news feed feature as part of the Facebook functionality. The news feed pulls down the updates, comments & photos and the research led to a fuller understanding of the Facebook API so worth the effort.

The App is now entering final testing (for memory leaks and any other gremlins) and will be submitted to Apple for approval in the near future. Once it’s approved & on sale the hard job of marketing the App to the Wedding World begins.

In a few months time it’s possible that Twitter integration will be added but this depends on the apparent need and usefulness to this type of App.

IGM Screen Shots – iPhone 3G & First Gen iPod Touch

iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch Compatibility

I’m Getting Married has been developed to work on as many iPhone and iPod touch models as possible. So long as you have kept up with your IOS updates the App will work.

Older iPod Touches without a camera can use the photo features by transferring photos via iTunes to the device. iPhone 4 users benefit from sharper graphics and faster operation but all development and testing has ensured great performance on the older devices.

App Trivia

Many of the icons in the app have tiny writing on them. If you look at the event icon you can read various entries (if your eyes are really good). Can you spot Kate Middleton’s credit card?

Wedding Budget Icon

Wedding photography used through the app has a Scottish flavour as the developers are Scottish so most of the weddings they attend involve men wearing Kilts, the traditional Scottish attire for men. Even the Las Vegas wedding featured has kilts because the couple are Scottish.
